Hello Margaret,

Here's the front and back of a post card that was trimmed.  My mom was very, very proud that she was named after EvaRay LaFrance.  She always heard such wonderful things about her.  I wish my mom was here to tell you more.  She always said she was named after a millionaire.  I'm planning a trip to see my uncle, 82 and living in Florida.  He was into the family tree, and after I've been scanning all of these pictures, I, like you, am longing to hear more.

She's very beautiful, don't you think?

Below is a postal card from 1907 that EvaRay sent to Mommy (Georgia) Eiserlo.  The Wyoming Monument depicted with Teddy Roosevelt is a block away from my office.  I pass it twice a day, and now think of your Aunt when I do.

When your dad was born my great-grandmother was 18.  I believe her maiden name was Boysun.  She had a first marriage to a Peter Decker (my actual great-grandfather who died), then she remarried in 1906 (I still have the marriage certificate) to a Peter Eiserlo from Noxen, PA.  I will have more details hopefully after spending a week with my uncle.

Below is the back of a postal card EvaRay wrote to my great-grandmother's sister in 1912.

Now here comes what may be the best part.  This is a very fancy post card that could have come from your father.  There's no date on it; it may have been enclosed in another envelope (from France?).  Great handwriting.

Here is one when EvaRay was younger again.

Here's one from a Harry in the 19-teens, but I believe this one is from a Harry Murphy.  Notice the difference in handwriting.

Lastly, here is one from EvaRay in Quebec in 1923.

There are many more picture post cards of people I cannot identify.  I know this doesn't help as much as you would like, perhaps not at all, but I'll do anything to help you, Margaret.  I'll pray to my mom and Mommy Eiserlo and visit my uncle to see if I can learn more.  I've also emailed my brother and sisters to see if they could help.  God bless you.

Enjoy whatever happens,
     marty
