"Maybe Never" NV0055CD
This CD also has the upright bass and jazz fusion guitar ensemble.
The opening tune is about "Voyager." It's entitled "Toy Trucks
on Mars." With these tunes I began introducing weird combinations
of instruments with background sounds. You hear steam, water dripping, all kinds of little nuances going on. In all of my music I never have, and never will edit. I don't cut...I don't paste. It all goes down
live. The second tune "I Think You've Lost My Mind" is an absolute
manic fit of joy. Hey...crazy people have fun too you know! This
tune amazed me in the play backs. After building the tracks I noticed
accents and subtle kicks that came down perfectly together.
All I can say is GOD must be fusion fan....because he blessed me with these tunes. There's a little bit of a "Jimi Hendrix and Miles sit in with
Weather Report" vibe on this CD. I started to experiment with more instrumentation on this disc. Trombone, Harmon mute trumpet,
tenor tuba etc. This CD has a real "Nostalgia for the Future" vibe about it. I dedicated this CD to the spirit of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to whom
I am distantly related. I guess that gene got stretched out pretty far,
because I didn't have any musical virtuosity until I was in my forties.
Oh well....I look bad in a powdered wig anyway.
